What is Xucker Light?
Simply different! Xucker Light is a sweetener based on erythritol. Erythritol is different. Eating foods that contain erythritol instead of sugar helps maintain tooth mineralisation. They also cause blood sugar levels to rise less after eating them than when eating sugary foods/drinks. Erythritol is calorie-free. It is produced by fermentation and occurs naturally in grapes and watermelons, for example. In Japan, erythritol has been used in many foods and medicines since 1990. Diabetics in particular appreciate its absolutely blood-sugar-neutral properties. Erythritol was approved as a foodstuff in the USA in 1997 and in the EU in 2006 without any quantity restrictions.
Who is Xucker Light suitable for?
Less sweet, less heavy! Those who like it less sweet will love Xucker Light: its sweetening power is about 70 per cent that of sugar. Visually, however, Xucker Light with its white crystals hardly differs from its sugary counterpart. Erythritol is easily soluble and the best tolerated of all sugar alcohols, as it is excreted almost completely unchanged. Full taste, no regrets. Very simple!

How can Xucker Light be used?
Erythritol loves tea, coffee and desserts! Xucker Light is very suitable as a sugar substitute for desserts and drinks. It is less suitable for making jam because it crystallises there. When making pastries and cakes, we therefore recommend that the proportion by weight of Xucker Light (erythritol) should not exceed 25 %.
